Menahga Museum Receives Legacy Funds

he Menahga Area Historical Society Museum will receive $2,073 for the purchase of software to allow the group to inventory the collection of artifacts at the museum. The Menahga Area Historical Society is one of the first recipients of 2010 Fast Track grants from the Minnesota Historical Society Legacy program. The MAHS museum will receive $2,073 for the purchase of software to allow the group to inventory the collection of artifacts at the museum.

Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants are made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, which is a result of the passage of the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment in 2008. The amendment supported efforts to preserve Minnesota land, water and legacy, the latter which includes the state’s history and cultural heritage.
